We sure as hell do have enough people to fill in these jobs. With Trump canceling government benefits to the unemployed to two weeks as it used to be, you will see that all of a sudden your will have a surplus of people looking to work, specially in construction!
I’ve seen this before when I started working in construction. The problem has always been government and democrats, since now both are out of the way, we will see that things will go back to pre massive illegal immugration of the labor force

lasseiz faire is as stupid as Karl Marx. Markets are like gardens; we should mostly leave them alone, but they need a little tending.

I ate at a Mexican restaurant Friday night... Plenty of Hispanics serving... One black guy that I found odd... Also a Hispanic midget bussing tables, probably works for half price...
Maybe they are all legal or maybe the fear of deportation hasn't hit them yet...

That is their ultimate goal in life.
THIS is the ultimate goal of all DEM politicians - they care not one whit about the conditions of the 'underlings' - the more parasites the better for THEM.
Their only 'enemies' are those who oppose their obviously evil intent.

It wasnt that long ago that business owners were going to prison or facing massive fines if they had just one undocumented.
Now we have entire businesses being run where the employees dont even have a taxid.

More than likely they do but it doesn't belong to them...

When was this happening because I must have missed it...

What competition? You mean the guy getting $5 an hour cash bc he lives with 20 other illegals in 1 house, they have 1-2 trucks/vans they all ride in and eat the same cheap meals every meal? How can an American worker compete with a guy whose overhead to survive is $500 a month? Surely you jest.

Literally, eh? But the benefits will accrue disproportionately to the workers, while the costs will accrue disproportionately to the affluent.

Backbreaking hard work once was worth a decent home and auto in a safe neighborhood. Then they decided it should take two people and now...more than two... to get basic necessities.
That is only partially true. The imported illegal, semi-slave labor trade has depressed labor wages. There are white people willing to build houses, hell I have two contractors in my family.
The problem is you can’t live off what the illegals get paid. A lot of those guys have man camp style housing here and live super cheap sending most of their earnings to Mexico.

That is my very point. We will be sending back the super cheap option and forcing the employment of the more expensive option. My point isn’t whether this is good or bad (I think it’s good), but whether it will drive up the price of labor (it will).

How many hours per year do you garden? There are 8760 hours in a standard year. Anyway it was a simile; it doesn’t require equal proportionality.

Jail time was rare, but i remember one egregious situation where due to the number of undocumented workers in the factory the business owner was arrested. Early-mid 2000’s… i’ll give the google time-machine a whirl in a bit see if i can find it.

I comprehend it, just barely. Do YOU realize that by sending the illegals home we are decreasing competition? This is getting too complex for little ole me; maybe with your big brain you can tell me what effect a decrease in competition will have on prices. I’m thinking hard, but I just can’t come up with it.
That "cheap" labor is heavily subsidized by the US government.
Divide the number of "cheap" illegal labor hours by their wages PLUS all the money the government gives to the population of illegals. Now how "cheap" is it?
How about I pay for services when I need them rather than contributing to the 12 figure pool of money that the government spends to make illegal labor "cheap"?
I don't have a yard. My roof is paid for. I don't need a maid, etc.
You certainly didn't think of THAT, did you?
Wait, billion is 12 digits, I meant 14 digits

I have a personal friend who has paid extra money each yrsr to have proper labor thru the visas, to work his crawfish business.
The platform was there, and I have ZERO tolerance for those that cut corners.
Clean it all up immediately. Hire homeless or less fortunate. Sure, a lot of them will fail you, but there are so many that just need a light of hope. Eventually, you'll have a great, loyal workforce

It will in turn bring in labor bc of the money they can make and thus bring in competition. Who wants to roof a house for $5 a hour? Not any Americans. Who wants to roof a house for $25 a hour? Lots of Americans.

You know illegals who work in this country are exploited right? They have no rights and they can't complain to anyone.
They have the right to commit crimes and not face prosecution. What am I missing? Even in deep red kansas they dont hold criminal illegals.
They are doing the exploiting, not the other way around.

One of the dirty little secrets about life as an illegal is that your preyed upon by other illegal crooks
It's not a secret, at least hasn't been as far back as my memories in the 70s.
Now do the adult thing and rationalize this out, what life choices could have and or could be made that would dramatically alter this predator/prey equation?
