They better keep the interior decor the way it was too.

Nobody wants that modern farmhouse style with white paint and new tables.

They were never ever going to pay for all of that renovating

10% of the stores were remodeled and signage changed. If they were not trying to do this country wide then why not renovate 1-5 stores and then launch the PR?

I’m glad they’ve decided to keep Uncle Cracker.

Changing the logo was not the problem. Their introduction of a DEI philosophy is the problem, and I bet that will stay, and the idiots will return. Problem is the boomers aren't going to keep this place open. It is doomed and good riddance.

It has nothing to do with any of that. It was a fricking PR stunt to get in the news and people talking about them, and of course we are all dumbshits and fall for it.

As much as this sounds plausible on face value, you still have to consider the enormous loss in valuation if it was a PR stunt. Also, you need to come to grips with the fact that Bud Light is still a pariah, and a whole lot of CB customers won't come back soon.

We have a holiday weekend staring us in the face. Millions will be traveling this weekend, let's see what the crowds look like, especially Sunday for lunch. If this was a PR stunt, I'm doubtful they got there monies worth for what it's ultimately going to cost.

There's way more to it than just a logo. They forced the CEO to give in, but her perspective and feelings about things haven't changed.

It's like the new coke and old coke again. Oh well, guess I'll have lunch there tomorrow.

So stock dropping and people saying they won’t go to the restaurant anymore following the changes was worth the publicity?

And after the changes inside there’s no guarantee people will go back even with the logo being back to normal. The people that were on their side probably don’t go there anyway bc they feel the name and decor are racist.

Getting a lot of publicity and then not making the lost money back isn’t a very good PR stunt.

This happened right after Trump said they should admit their mistake and go back to the old logo. The CEO called Trump and thanked him.

So this was like their "New" Coke play afterall?

Played out that way....re-energize a sagging brand (the taste of a "new generation" was leaving Coke in the dustbin)...so now, the base runs back to the Restaurant and hug nostalgia...just like Coke....forgetting about the taste.

How long until the CEO claims the change and reversal was a planned publicity stunt ala "New Coke"?

And to be fair, the company has gotten more screen time in the last week than the last decade.
