I think pre Obama years Colin Powell may have had a chance until he revealed who he really was by supporting Obama both times.

But yes, there are some excellent black republican men and women who could be President one day

A black Republican would never win Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, or Tennessee. They MIGHT could win Georgia.

In the 1800’s, Democrats hunted down runaway slaves escaped off the plantation on horseback.

Now they do it with the media.

Their fangs are never sharper than when there is a woman or a black person on the Conservative side.

Oh course he could could. And I’d love to see this one day soon. Watching the left and media squirm over a black republican winning would be so awesome

A black republican will be President LONG before a black republican is governor of LA.

This backwards racist state would elect just about anyone before a black man. His only chance would be if he was running against a gay transgendered Muslim.

Not for a long time. Lukewarm support from whites and blacks does not a strong candidate make. Maybe if Charles Barkley becomes a Pub but until then I don’t see it happening.

any "person" can certainly win any office or position they run for if they stand for something americans agree with. the only people who are racist and have an issue with skin color are liberals

I think a black republican would need a personality like Trump or even Obama. Ben Carson seems like a great guy but he didn’t have the personality to be noticed . He would be the most likely black republican to become president in the near future if Trump would support him for the 2024 election.

You are wrong on every subject you post about.

If Cain could have mustered his inner Trump he could have been President.

But you do you, idiot.

How much of the black vote do you think a black Republican presidential candidate could get?

I'm thinking at least 40-50%.

Despite what you've been told your whole life, the Rust Belt isnt full of a bunch of racists. Carson is a good example of running for politics and not getting crucified by Republicans for being black. The left did that for them...

I don't know how a black Republican, who would be regarded as an Uncle Tom, would do with black voters.

Ben Carson and Herman Cain didn't win any Southern states during Republican primaries and caucuses. Black folks aren't going to vote for a Republican just because he or she is black.

Clarence Thomas, Tim Scott, Herman Cain, and Ben Carson are regarded as Uncle Toms by a lot of black voters.

This. The media would destroy any black republican just like they did Clarence Thomas, Herman Cain, and Ben Carson. No candidate with an R next to their name is getting more than 10% of the black vote except for MAYBE Donald Trump on reelection.

Not a black Republican. It's naive to think a black Republican will do much better than a white Republican, in that community.
