All depends on the refresh rate. My Dad bought a 70 inch for $1,000 many years back which was a steal. The refresh was like 60.

In this day and age you want at least 120 refesh. Thats usually why those 60 plus TV's are so cheap, because they have a crappy refresh rate.

This

Also, depending on your lighting (ambient) you may want to go with an OLED.

Serious question...does one of these even fit through a door?

Checked it....looks like it does.
2.81"D x 85.79"W x 49.09"H

I keep imagining they are gonna get so big you have to take out a wall to bring them in lol

I remember paying $1000 for a 40” in 2008

I bought a 40" Sharp Aquos LCD in January of 2008 for $1200. Still have it too - it's super heavy compared to modern TVs, but the damn thing still has a great picture and has survived like ten moves since 2008. At this point I have a sentimental attachment to it.

Was just looking at Costco's 85" Samsung Neo QLED for $1799. Next size up at the store was 100". Looking to upgrade my 15 year old 55" LG. Been a good reliable TV but I'm ready to move up.

Online (the app), it’s $1,600, but Costco is notorious for different prices in the store. Was front and center at $1,499 when I walked in two nights ago.

Costco online is $1599 for that, not $1500.
