. At this point I value how they treat me as a customer over whatever their internal DEI policy is.

If I cared to dig, I’m sure I could find a reason to clutch my pearls at every business out there.

Posts like this are just virtue signaling for upvotes. I’m a real MAGA! I’d rather give my business to Walmart than Costco because Twitter said costco is woke!

They keep saying that black families will no longer shop at locations that did away with DEI. From what I’ve seen, DEI was responsible for less than 5% of black hires, so does it really benefit them?

Also, there are 4600 Walmarts and 1900 Targets in the US, but only 600 Costcos, so I imagine the big companies will be fine bc it’s not like there is a Costco everywhere they shop and buying in bulk isn’t cheap.

I'm pretty sure Wal Mart corporate and Target corporate and Trader Joe's corporate is more woke than Costco corporate

I’m in the same boat. Love Costco, have their credit card and the gold level membership, but I’m done with DEI. Either they end it, or I end my membership when it comes up for renewal.

If you're about to try to explain why 19 state AG's "warning" a publicly held, private sector company about it's policies, that do not violate any state or federal laws, doesn't constitute government interference, then don't bother.

Not true.

You should read Title VII and 28 USC 1981, along with the Louisiana Employment Discrimination Law. It’s illegal under federal law (and most state laws) for a private corporation to discriminate on the basis of race or to create a racially hostile work environment, which woke DEI policies create.

Can anybody tell me what to look out for to determine if my Costco is a DEI Costco or a regular Costco?

Which policies of Costco violate those statutes? Please cite the exact Costco policies.

I'll hang up and listen

Love em but I'm done unless they stop doing the things they've been doing that was contributing to my experience with them now that I know the name of the things they've been doing!

No I care about quality products and service for my money. However the company achieves that doesn't matter to me.

I want the best possible product for the best possible price, with the best possible service. As long as Costco can deliver that, I couldn't care less what their politics are. If another store does those things better then I'll shop with them.

I'm not shopping at Walmart or some other subpar retailer because of Costco's internal policies.

This is the correct take.

If a product or store used slave labor would that bother you?

Me, you and everyone else buys mountains of shite from China. So using slave labor bothers me about as much as it bothers you. Which is to say it bothers neither of us.
