Little does he know that blacks were actually better in many statistical categories in the 60's and 70's.

He mentions the 50s, 60s and 70s...yet chooses to leave out the 40s. That was when hundreds of thousands of Japanese Americans were forced to surrender their homes / businesses and relocated to remote, barren lands due to post Pearl Harbor hysteria. I'm sure that was an honest omission...right, Fartacus?
Reparations were already paid to them. Are you not aware of that? During the Reagan Administration.
Civil Liberties Act of 1988

The act granted each surviving internee about US$20,000 in compensation (or, $40,000 after inflation-adjustment in 2016 dollars), with payments beginning in 1990. The legislation stated that government actions were based on "race prejudice, war hysteria, and a failure of political leadership" as opposed to legitimate security reasons. A total of 82,219 received redress checks.[

That's pretty much how we ended up with the mortgage crisis.

All this reparations crap will die down after elections roll around.
A list should be made of all people entitled to reparations if by some miracle that ever passes government approval. If anyone on that list receives or has received government entitlements(welfare, etc), that amount should be deducted from their reparations benefits.

Gonna be honest with you...as soon as they think that’s a winning strategy.

O man. Someone should point out to Corey that the Civil Rights act made it illegal to discriminate on lending apps based on credit worthiness. Which, if you're going to point the finger at any one thing that caused the 08 crash it was this. IF you doubt me, go back and look at Freddie Mack and Fannie Mae before 1968 and then look at them after. Now its really freaking hard for certain folks with less than gold balls credit to get loans.

So, does this mean at some point in the future, there would be reparations for non blacks>
No. The rot that is at the core of black culture today ensures that any money given will be blown just as the Dave Chappelle skit laid out 15 years ago.
They will not create any wealth with their redistributed windfalls, so there will be nothing to take from them to redistribute to us.

If I’m a victim of a crime perpetrated by a black person because the system so disadvantaged them as to leave them no other option but to commit a crime against me, can I get their reparations assigned to me?
Because in a way, I was also a victim of the racist patriarchy

Booker does realize that black folks only comprise 12 % of the population?

Right. That was before the Great Society. Way back then, fatherless black children were as rare as fatherless white children and black fathers worked and provided for their families, same as white fathers did, rather than the government doing that as it does now.
Not sure you can put the free shite genie back in the bottle. It takes character these days to provide and be financially independent from the government and we are on the 5th and 6th generations of government resource dependent breeding in that community.
My 3x great grandfather was a surgeon in the Union Army during the Civil War, was sent to NOLA for the Butler occupation force and met my grandmother, who hailed from a middle class NOLA family. They married and relocated to a town in south central Louisiana where he practiced medicine and raised his family.
I'm telling this story for two reasons: 1. I should be exempt from paying reparations as I descend from a Yankee carpetbagger and 2. My 3x great grandfather was born in 1841...compare the latter with the fact that if you go to any hood where current black culture thrives I'd bet that your average elementary school kid's 3x great grandfather was born at least 100 years after my 3x great grandfather.

How about repatriation to Wakanda? That would make just about everyone happy.
Posted on 4/10/19 at 3:44 pm to Revelator
Ummm, weren't such programs in place that led directly to the housing bubble and resulting financial crisis?
I don't think another round of stupidity is what we need.
