Ted Bundy and John Wayne Gacy had prayers when they were in school.
And between them they murdered at least 70 school-age boys and girls, none of which met their deaths by gunfire.
I agree that the OP's premise is deeply flawed, but the fact is that killings will continue no matter what restrictions we place on gun ownership.
It's not the method, it's the madness.

Then you're dumb, don't kill is a universal moral stance, societies that predate the Hebrews and/or were on the other side of the world figured it out without divine revelation.
The idea that people need God to tell them that killing is bad shows how little respect you have for humans.

So the only question then is making sure the correct religions prayers are said in the morning.

School prayers should be our national anthem followed by a "All Hail Lord Emperor Trump" and everyone will stand

Actually the bible is full of God commanding the Jews to kill.
Google "the ban" and how it relates to pre-Jesus Judaism. God commanded the Jews to kill every living being in a city when they took it. Thats a lot of killing.
Moses did say "dont murder" which is entirely different.
The Ban

Saying don't murder is redundant because of how murder is defined

The Jews didnt think all killing was murder. They believed some was justifiable, but outlawed other types of killing and called it murder.
Killing gentile children in Jericho when the walls came tumbling down? Not murder according to the Jews of the time. Killing Jewish children when they talk back to you? Thats murder.
Its a matter of perspective I suppose.

Correlation: Prayer out of schools to increase in mass shootings
Has nothing to do with the proliferation of guns, eh?
Stuff your prayers and other superstitions.
The goal of public prayer was always to keep people in line, conformist, sheepish, unimaginative, and unscientific.
And isn't it funny how people such as yourself who scream about constitutional rights (as you imagine them to be within the Second Amendment) want to shite all over the First and Fourteenth Amendments.
Your prayers are stupid, your notion of "god" is stupid, and it's stupid to want to make stupid notions part of what's supposed to be a knowledge-seeking institution.
Furthermore, it was when prayers were forced upon students that women were denied the right to vote, when black people didn't enjoy the same civil rights as white people, etc. Your STUPID prayers only served to perpetrate social evils.
Have I mentioned that your notions are stupid and your desires for their implementation upon our schools are stupid? Well, they are. They're stupid.

And, obviously, the prayers that superstionists such as yourself offered up after Newtown as part of some grand solution that things like that would never happen again were worthless to kids at Parkland, weren't they?

Don't murder other human beings is far from a universal moral stance across religions, let alone socities. You would have know that if you read my initial post.

You are conflating deaths in wartime with murder.

How many societies can you name that would allow you to kill whomever you wanted?
