I could see how air temp would affect the life of the virus resting on surfaces that are outdoors.

But in the case of closer in direct person to person transmission, how does the air temperature make much of a difference anyway? Most especially if that transmission occurs inside where air temps are kept consistently lower, in the 70ish range?

Today was the 2nd highest growth rate since the US started tracking these things.

The growth today was likely due to more people were tested, and not because of an increase in newly infected people otherwise the death rate would trend upward, it has trended down as testing increased. today had a bump up, but one day does not make a trend.

I assume you're asking if I've ever heard of "flu season," to which the answer is yes, of course. But that still doesn't exactly answer the question. All I can do is guess, or educated guess rather, and my suspicion is that there's a bit more to flu season timeframes than simply air temperature.

I suppose the more specific concept that I'm referring to is the thought that once the air temp reaches a certain number that transmission can no longer occur. Which I am speculating is not the case, not exclusively anyway. But then again, this is what I'm asking, for some clarification on it if anyone has the goods.

Why are we still relying on information of study from a communist nation? We need to conduct our own studies and use it to make our own decisions.

The mayor president of Lafayette not only stated testing is just starting, but also stated, initial testing is being returned slower than expected.

Pure speculation here, but I’m guessing today will be a game changer for those who still are in denial.

There could be a million people a day dead in China from this virus and we'd never know.

Are the deaths reported actually confirmed to be caused by this virus? I would assume so, but could they be caused by flu? Are they reporting flu deaths as well for comparison purposes?

horse shite. they arent even allowing people to get tested in most instances

People are coming to our hospital with no fever, no lower respiratory issues and allergy symptoms convinced they have COVID-19. The overwhelming majority of people do not need to be tested.

It’s like someone with a regular, normal white blood cell count demanding to see an oncologist to check for cancer.

good thing Mark E over reacted and shut down all NCAA sports instead of the prudent move of suspending.

Since 50-75% of cases show no symptoms, this is not true

70% of cases show mild symptoms. Our first round of tests for our entire health system returned zero positive tests. But keep the panic going please. I love how everyone is now a healthcare expert. Do I come to the poker table and knock king queen off suit out of your hand?

Heat doesn’t kill this virus unfortunately. I do think it’s going to go dormant within a couple months.
