Let me be very clear. I am not posting to criticize Christians. I'm posting and asking questions about the relationship between purported Christian values, supporting Trump, and defining "conservatism" as Trump-backed politics...ESPECIALLY in light of the fact that the only reason Trump won in 2016 was because he specifically rejected Evangelical "conservatism".

So this is your standard for "exceptions". Is Biden not a similar danger?

If he is, then why should any "conservative" care if a porn star is trying to help you defeat Biden?

quote:

To believe in "winning elections" wherein the populous is neither "moral (Just) or religious (totally unified via the God First Principle)" is a fool's errand. I mean, what could go wrong there? With dupes and fools and immoral people voting in Obamas, Bidens, Pelosis and Schumers, et al.

Why did you exclude Trump from your list? He's not moral and did not promote a moral political philosophy in 2016?

What rules? Politics has rules other than winning?

Hell, why don't Trump's policies need to fall in line with the Evangelism?

I'm not an evangelical. Your analogy is a pretty shite one anyway. Comparing TRUMP to Brandi Love. As far as I know TRUMP has never made any porn videos.

Why do you get to randomly choose when Evangelical policies are conservative or when they can be ignored within political ideology that is considered "conservative"? What are the clear rules?

I already told you, it's politics. You have to win first before you can make any changes. So you vote for a candidate most in line with your views and hope that at a future date you can then change their minds into doing what you like. Politics is practical decision making not moral decision making.

Trump already made "the changes" by ditching this Evangelical social conservatism. He would not have won without it.

THAT was the change, and now that Trump is out of office the idea is to...go back to policies that ensure losing?

Then Trump was a terrible politician. Had Joe to beat and couldn't.

Republicans will continue to lose as the world becomes more secular and open. I suggest getting ahead of the curve.

Hell, trump wanted to legalize weed and never did. That would have been huge for him, but his base just didn't give a shite.

I think Turning Point is more or less a Christian themed organization. If this gal is still working in the biz of peddling her body I can see why Turning Point said thanks but no thanks.

Same hypocritical bullshite I hate leftists for. She wouldn't get fricked in camera if they weren't watching. Which they clearly are if they can point her out in a crowd.

Damned hypocrites.

If she’s conservative then she has every right to be there just like anybody else.

Well that's just it now. Now, in 2021 one has to question are those really losing policies? Or is just that elections are rigged and with the left control the media you have that perception?

Maybe if we actually had honest and fair elections we'd see a different result. Really the rigged election should call into question all your perceived political truths.

If they ever get it straighten out and we no longer have rigged elections. I suspect a lot of what you consider "losing issues" that conservatives need to just drop really won't be.

Ministering to and socializing with are not the same.
Do you think Jesus condoned prostitution or avoided the topic around them?
So many American churches have been decimated by that tactic that American Christianity is falling apart.

1st Cor 5:9-13
I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators: Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world. But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat. For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

2nd Cor 6:14-17
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you

See I'm not so sure it really is that way anymore though. The propagandist control the media and the ballot box which distorts your view of the world.

kicking people out of events because you don't like what they do is disgusting. preacher, gambler, porn star, it doesn't matter.

Well yeah...and I say that as a guy that's pretty right of center but is also an atheist. Despite the fact that I align politically with nearly everything on the right, the fact that I'm not Christian is basically a nonstarter for so many on this board.

It's beyond frustrating, especially at a time when we could not have bigger fish to fry.

was 2016 rigged?

because that's when Trump won. are you claiming that 2016 wasn't honest and fair? if not, then it's irrelevant

Same here. Raised Catholic.... I've rejected the theology but accepted most of the values. Many of this board wouldn't have me I'm sure, I wouldn't pass their purity test.

That's a two-way street. The Democrats aren't exactly the party of inclusion, either. It's time for political parties to go the way of the dodo bird.

Is she really “conservative?” I heard about her years ago, and the “conservative” label seemed to be a marketing tactic. With that said, I obviously don’t know how she votes.

Turning Point as I said I believe is a Christian themed organization, why would they be associating with working porn stars? Now if this behavior was in her past and she had demonstrated repentance I’m going to support her position.

Jesus associated with whores, whoremongers, thieves, murderers, you name it. This action is pretty much as un-Christian as it gets.
