Well, there is confirmation that there is an investigation of Bryant specifically related to the events Mace discussed. No charges of course, because the investigation is not concluded.

But we don’t know if the other men are involved in the investigation. The subject is Bryant but, as often is the case in an investigation, multiple charges against multiple defendants can stem from an investigation into a primary subject.

Meh. Ironically, they announced that we can dismiss their opinions and feelings fully. I assume they are just looking for attention in here.

No, lol.

I am interested in SC politics. I liked Katie Arrington much more than Sanford or Mace. I find Mace's antics repulsive... and the way she's been in the news going after AG Wilson disgusts me.

I personally know local DAs and sheriffs and know how some cases are slow walked and prosecutorial discretion benefits the connected (think money). It happens in every state in every district in the U.S. Heck we just saw aggressive prosecutorial discretion with Trump and weak prosecutorial discretion with Biden on the national stage.

True. I can't disagree with any of that.

Nancy Mace. The original DEI benefactor as the first female graduate of the all male corps of cadets at the Citadel at the time. Wolf in sheep’s clothing.

If those guys aren't credibly accused of rape the thread title should be changed.

They may well be scumbags and jerks, but if they're not rapists it should be clarified. We all rally against this sort of crap when it's from the other direction and the same standard should apply here.

True. I guess I just don't fully believe the entirety of her allegations and I'm coming from a place of mistrusting this particular woman and how she handles her business.

We don't, but if those rushing to judgment on her side are wrong, you've helped ruin the lives of 4 innocent men.

Well, she did that. She ruined the lives of 4 innocent men. She’s definitely decided to let the chips fall where they may here.

I’ve often heard of South Carolina…specifically the bar and the prosecutorial offices…having a notorious good ole boy network. That’s the way I’ve heard multiple attorneys here in Georgia refer to it. I’m intrigued about the political aspects involved in this case. A couple posters have said they think the AG at least is a stand up guy.

It could be that everything Mace is saying is true…and she’s also trying to politically capitalize on it by impugning her theoretical political competition.

To you they are allegations, but not to her. Everyone should crucify you for questioning a woman. Why have you changed you belief that all women should be believed? You are enabling rape culture. You should be doxed and your life made a living hell. I am sure you agree.. I mean I am sure you have agreed with that in the past.

Are you sane? Real question.

I don't know what to make of that. Is actual rape being investigated? By which man/men? Could this be a totally unrelated rape victim? The wording doesn't rule it out.

I looked up eligibility requirements for being assigned a VA... it seems simple enough
quote:

To get assigned a victim advocate in South Carolina, you can contact your local victim advocate or apply for DCVC services.

It seems like if you ask for one, one will be assigned. Some within 48hrs, I guess it varies by county/circut.
