What do the laws of economics say about this?
Law of economics?
Over the past 5-10 years approximately 100k are dying annually of fentanyl poisoning, the cost of illegal immigration along with cartel criminal activities have cost the US hundreds of billions of dollars.
We're trying to save and restore a nation, and the biggest reason the nation is in this sorry state is because of government corruption coupled with the majority of Americans being indifferent, complacent, misinformed and quite frankly, afraid of confronting difficult decisions.

Our end state is a secure border and peace in our nation.
How in the actual F are we secure and at peace when we have a multinational organization who commits acts of unimaginable violence daily against anyone who opposes them operating here and just across the border? A group who by your own response has a presence throughout our nation and is pumping fentanyl and anything else horrible they can kill Americans with while they run sex and human trafficking operations coast to coast?
You spent paragraphs explaining why they're ultra dangerous yet rather than make the obvious logical jump, that being their elimination as as a threat moving forward you want to just hope they leave us alone?
You sound like my wife wanting to stand on top of the chair the rest of her life rather than chase a snake out of the house.
The snake has to go. Might not be fun making it happen but its got to go by whatever means necessary.

Its the demand driving the market, not the supply.
Where there is a billion dollar market, there will be suppliers.

There are high school teenagers dying of fentanyl poisoning after taking pills they believed to be prescription drugs. I worked with a dude whose girlfriend friend lost her 18 year old daughter to fentanyl poisoning two years ago. The dealer/friend of the deceased testified in court he was assured the fentanyl laced pills were prescription drugs by his supplier.

All while being illegal..
You can remove every bit of Fentanyl tonight, and an alternative will pop up tomorrow, because its a multi billion dollar industry.
Its demand driving the market. Where there is an opportunity for profit, people will take on the risks.
All you'll do is change the distribution model a bit.

From a logistics and practical standpoint what are your thoughts if Mexico said they were coming into the US because of some issue
You don't think there would be a problem with that?
Does everyone here really want Trump to start a war with Mexico? Are we sending in the full military? Are going to keep going into all the South American countries? As much as I hate the drug trade, let's first get everyone the frick out of here including the cartels.
Once done we can discuss/ demand Mexico make the needed changes and we can help. Let's not start another war. Also - please consider Chinas interest in this as they are building the huge port in Mexico to bypass Panama - what if they decide to help out Mexico?

Since when did we become such weak men that we back down from criminal organizations out of fear of retaliation?
frick them. Let them frick around and find out. That’s why we have an armed populace. This isn’t Mexico where the cartels and bought off federales are the only ones with guns

We've had 10 million or more people stream across the border in the last 4 years, with tens of thousands linked to the cartels, ISIS, AQ, and other groups. Gosh, I wonder if they might strike a deal with one another to combine their efforts against US targets in the interior.
Why do you think we are rounding up the criminals first for deportation? Get that threat out of the interior, then go after the cartels.
Almost as if Trump and his advisors know what they’re doing

POTUS, Roger and SFP all support illegal aliens and think they have rights. They are here killing us and our friends and families the collateral damage has already been started by the illegals and they need exterminated, especially the ones who want to FAFO.

Let me now when you guys understand any of this, but until then, please keep up the name calling. It's really persuasive and let's me know you're really on the ball here. Bunch of true tacticians and strategists we have here.
Regardless of whether people want to admit it or not, we are at war. There are casualties in war. There's no getting around it, we're in for a rough time with these cartels. Getting rid of them won't be for the faint of heart.

Lucrative black markets are the result of overregulation.
As long as the opportunity is there, there will be "cartels" regardless of how much money we pump trying to end them.
