Condi Rice's view of executive powers are broader than those held by King Louis XIV. Do you want that on the Court when a Democrat is President?

The Constitution does not set any requirements.
If she were nominated and confirmed, she's in.
Surely understands the law better than Sotomayor.

That's not a bad thing. Robert Jackson was the best judge of past century and didn't go to college. Different time but the Constitution, which was written for the common person to understand, hasn't changed.

Let’s stroll down memory lane.
In 2008, Condi said, During a press conference this morning, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said John McCain was “gracious” and “a great patriot,” while Barack Obama was “inspirational” and “will continue to be.” A jubilant Rice added that she was proud of her country?—?“it continues to surprise…it continues to beat all odds and expectations.” She concluded, “On a personal note, as an African-American, I’m especially proud.”
Edit. From Facebook,

Enough! Donald Trump should not be President. He should withdraw.
As a Republican, I hope to support someone who has the dignity and stature to run for the highest office in the greatest democracy on earth.
I do not allow it!

I love me some Condi, but this is just stupid.

Rice is part of the Bush dynasty and therefore part of the Deep State.....

I have had two people completely misunderstand my post that Condi has no legal background.
Clarification:
I am COMPLETELY aware that the great document does not include qualifications for the court and my mailman could be nominated.
I said that because the OP said Condi had a strong legal background and she has none.
As you were.

Why not just pick a sold conservative with a judicial background?
Posted on 6/29/18 at 7:09 pm to ClientNumber9
No. She didn’t go to law school, which isn’t a requirement, but is all but necessary to be a judge. There are so many complex legal issues that the federal courts handle (not just the issues in the big landmark cases) that having a legal background is needed.

So many on the right are so weak. She cannot be trusted. We own the Senate. Go as far right as possible and stop pussyfooting around.
