It's one reason why black males act like they do: they're overwhelmingly raised by women without a male in the home every day to help them regulate their emotions. They act like their mothers, but instead of trashing a Wendy's they run up the FBI violent crime statistics scoreboard.

Even if his mother didn't act like this, a young man (and girl) raised in a single mother household is starting off verifiably fricked by statistical standards.

As said before, undo everything democrat LBJ did and incentivize the nuclear family with extreme prejudice, while punishing women and men who have babies out of wedlock, divorce for irreconcilable differences (i.e., bullshite), and that's about all we probably need to do in order to see a turn around.

It's a generational cash cow for women to procreate with a man and have a child, even better if she can get him to marry her so she can divorce him. Take that incentive away, and even better, incentivize them to stick it out or else, and that's about our only hope.

Otherwise we can keep on with the literal insanity.

Their lives are shitty and they're poor. This isn't a defense of the behavior in any way, but building a culture after generations of shitty lives is probably not conducive to having joy and contentless being projected characteristics of that culture.

Before scholars try to melt about what I said, much of that culture and the pathology is their fault, which is also keeping them poor. Explaining what's happening isn't shifting blame to society or malleable vague concepts like institutions/white privilege.
