So have any of the vaccines received full FDA approval yet? If not, then no one can make it a requirement that you take an experimental vaccine.

You could try that, but you'll still lose IMO.

"Approved for Emergency use" is a valid official classification for a drug. Plus, the vaccines will be approved, probably by the time your case goes to court.

It lacks legal standing though for this scenario.

These lawsuits are going to roll through Trump/Obama/Bush/Clinton appointees until in finally makes it to SCOTUS.

That final decision will be up there with the most significant decisions.

There is a chance the vaccines are never approved. Once approved the lawsuits from negative reactions will be vary significant and very large. The approval process is also very lengthy and C19 will be a distant memory as well.

They need to sue. Make the business justify the decision to discriminate on the basis of getting a vaccine.

My son has a potential heart issue. I'll be damned if some company requires him to get a potentially heart damaging vaccine.

Well, I happen to have heart issues too and my cardiologist tells me that I am far more likely to die if I catch Covid than I am from the vaccine. Don’t let politics put your sons health in danger…just sayin.

Unfortunately, 117 employees of Houston Methodist Hospital thought the same thing , but they were wrong.

why not actually name said company if you're so appalled about it? Why would you protect them? Do you think they'd hesitate to doxx you or your son?

Maybe because they would fire him if he did that. duh

I work for a Fortune 50 company. When I report to work I have to login and give my vaccination status. So far I haven’t been told by the company that a vaccine is required but it won’t surprise if they begin to pressure employees who are not vaccinated to get the shots.

There should be HIPPA law violations shouldn't there. Making someone disclose personal medical information.

My company is offering 4 figure payment if you get the vaccine. The initial offer only resulted in 58% vaccinated despite the CEO threatening to make it mandatory. I think he realized he couldn't replace 7,000 people so he upped the bribe money. I'm guessing the mandate is coming once they get 90% vaccination.

I am already looking for other opportunities, with 20 years experience it shouldn't take long to find something else.

Be careful — it seems that some places are requiring new hires to be vaccinated although it isn’t mandatory for current employees (yet). I think that they think it helps with employee retention if they can remain unvaccinated despite how shorty working conditions might get.

Hopefully your employer won’t require it.

Lawsuits incoming, they can not fire someone for not getting the vaccine.

The company I work for is too scared to make us even answer whether we have been vaccinated or not.

Yup. Policy is...wear a mask if you aren’t vaccinated...but no one will ask those without masks for proof.

The alternative would be just to require those visiting that customer to be vaccinated. Stupid administrators always go for the "one-size-fits-all" lazy response.

Assholes in congress + Trump indemnified Pharma for the vaccines

Remember when Republicans were all about tort reform limiting the ability to sue corporations, and when they were all about letting companies decide what's best?

Well, the free markets have spoken. Being an unvaccinated Republican is not allowed. They're private businesses so its cool according to Republican ideology.
