Set to 54 and reading ~62 is probably right.

Agree that stupid commies and dems would do it this way... like there's any difference between 54 and 62 in that scenario.

Comrade, Our bettors are working tirelessly and selflessly to form a better more equal world for all of us. They know best and make the hard choices for us. They deserve small benefits like lower thermostat settings. A government building here and there at 60 is inconsequential to the environment if all citizens comply and do their part. You criticism has been documented as wrong think and your social credit score lowered. Your rations will be reduced and you must complete an online class to reeducate yourself and do hard labor cleaning streets of minority neighborhoods 20 hours a week for 3 months to bring your score back up.

Next time your punishment will be much more severe. You’ve been warned, comrade. Do you want to join the Magatards in the labor camps?

It's debatable if I'd rather have it at 78 or 62.
62 is pretty darn cold for a room.

I have no proof, but I doubt very seriously this is true. You would have to have some pretty impressive HVAC units to get the temperature in a big old building down that low in the summer.

While the actual temp being that low is hard to imagine, I take it you have never worked in an office setting where some genius sets the AC at 60 because they are hot but isn’t smart enough to realize they are freezing up the unit when they do so? Given the amount of mass retardation in government, no less NYC, you still have a hard time believing this?

And for all of you “well I don’t know why Mamdani would be doing this” geniuses, his communism in New York is going exactly the way communism always goes. I’m not surprised, why are you?

I can't see NYC hospitals and health centers at 78F. No matter where you go in the US those places are in the 60's to low 70's.

I'm willing to bet the 54* temp was AC coming out of a register. That is about the temp of treated air at the source.

I was just ab to say that when I saw the photo right above your post showing the laser temp gun. I use one regularly to check mine and make sure everything is functioning.

Not sure i believe this.

A New York Post investigation using infrared thermometers found City Hall and other municipal buildings much cooler, with temperatures as low as 54°F across most of 20 tested spots, contradicting the mayor’s claim that city buildings were following the 78° rule.
