Can someone explain to me the purpose of a govt grocery store? Are their stores somehow supposed to be cheaper than regular grocery stores?

Mamdani has stated that voting is a fundamental right (not accurate) that does not require an ID. Also, he has stated that access to affordable food is a fundamental right yet that requires an ID.

They will be cheaper because they don't need to turn a profit to stay open. That's the problem though because if enough of them open they'll eventually put regular stores out of business. Of course that's the objective for communists like mamdani.

The purpose is to destroy American businesses and move people further towards total state control of every thing.
The will say it is to lower food prices.
In reality the prices paid at the communist stores will be cheaper. Why? Not for the reasons most people think. The cost will be lower because the stores prices will be set lower... no matter what!
You say but then they can't stay open because they will lose money. Well if you said that I would suggest you stop voting because your IQ is too low for you to make adult decisions.
The price will be low. The stores will be working at a loss. And the tax payers that saved a few dollars at the commie store will lose quadruple that in the form of higher tax rates and possibly even worse the loss of their job as the economy shrink like always happens when communist get in control.
