It will be appealed all the way to the SC and take at least a year, maybe two. Meanwhile anything those replacements vote on will be seen as illegitimate and likely to be erased. A new redistricting map passed by replacements would be tied up in court even longer, well past the mid-terms which makes all of this pointless.

The fight will be long and difficult, and success is not guaranteed, so let's not fight at all.

Or wait two weeks and call another special session meanwhile all of their pet projects sit idle too. Your "fight" is going to backfire leaving the current map as-is for the forseeable future.

But I get it, you need to own them libz with words today! Tomorrow's consequences be damned.

If he can show that democrats didn't pay for their own flight and another source did, yeah he might have a bribery case. But essentially dems would have to never come back to stop this vote, and at some point they would have to just be considered AWOL

Do you believe the shite-arse way they all boarded a private jet as a collective boycott to avoid the vote was an admirable way to serve the people of Texas?

Democrats saying come and take it when the extend of their self defense is rape whistles and social workers wielding pamphlets is fricking hilarious.

That's great. But as Owlfan said yesterday, Abbot's reach only applies to Texas. So, it's all still posturing and theater.

I mean, you can’t ask the governor to do more than what’s within his power.

Arrest Warrants have been issued. It’s about time the Right responds in kind. Gloves off.

Abbott said he'd kick them out of their seats

Now it's to find and arrest them

As usual, he won't stand up to what he said he'd do
