These primary results are not very encouraging if these unaffiliated voter numbers hold up in Colorado.

Turnout now double the highest (among the 2008/2012/2016 state/Congressional primaries) turnout of 610K (262K Dem, 348K Rep).

Colorado has a competitive dem primary for senate

The gop incumbent, Corey Gardner, faces no gop challenger

This isn’t difficult to understand yet this board continues to not pay attention to the details

Fine then explain why the unaffiliated voters are swinging more than 80% Democrat.

Colorado isn’t realistic anymore - at least not with Trump. A Kasich type could still compete there against a weak nominee like Biden.

Trump will spike the vote in the south and rust belt tho

Everything he said applies to that, too.

Why would a conservative unaffiliated voter bother to return a ballot in a primary with no competition?

Trump isn't even on the GOP primary ballot.

This is also true.

Colorado voted for the democrats in an election where fricking Michigan and Pennsylvania went red

Huh?

That IS the reason

Why would an unaffiliated republican voter be motivated to vote in the primary?

Lol what? Colorado Dems have a huge primary for the senate nomination to face Gardner. This is a terrible analysis.

Colorado is more diverse, fitness types, legalized pot, etc. It's a different culture out there.

Trump needs to flip the script and make an Executive Order legalizing marijuana.

I don’t even smoke and know it would be a good move.

Blah blah.

Colorado is being inundated with California transplants who made their state so shitty they have no choice but to move and continue to vote for the same bullshite they ran from

Yeah, Trump supports the war on drugs. If this was President Rand Paul, Biden would get crushed in a landslide.

So why is Cali still true blue? Shouldn't progressives be losing by attrition in Cali?

One third of the voters were Republicans. They didn't even have to show up!

I view it as a positive.

The silent majority will cross the finish line first in November.

primary turnout does not always indicate enthusiasm for the general election

not saying we win CO, but this does not scare me at all

Colorado and Virginia are blue. They are gone.

Iowa and Ohio are red.

I’ll take the 24 electoral votes over 22.
