Actually, I would believe that to be factually incorrect. It would come from the United States Govt. The U.S Treasury Dept. to be specific.
I don't agree with the why in their reasoning to teach students to use U. S. Vs. America but they are technically correct.

So, since the first of this month the left has implied that the original Betsy Ross 13 stars and stripes American flag is Unamerican, celebrating the 4th of July with a parade in the nation's capital is Unamerican, and calling someone an American is Unamerican. They have become the political version of one of those snails you see on David Attenborough narrated nature specials that have have become infested with a parasite that has produced this glowing, throbbing blob of junk in their antennae and makes them ooze along out in the open instead of under cover of foliage.

So glad my kids go to LSU. There is some of this stupidity but generally not school sanctioned. My daughter sends me pics and laughs whenever she sees the politically correct bullshite around campus. Learned her well.
