quote:

CSU lists both “American” and “America” as non-inclusive words "to avoid," due to the fact that America encompasses more than just the U.S. By referring to the U.S. as America, the guide claims that one “erases other cultures and depicts the United States as the dominant American country.” The school suggests using “U.S. citizen” or “person from the U.S.” as substitutes.

Dear CSU,

I just received my bill for tuition and books, lab fees, etc. I noted that it was denominated in Dollars. Dollar is a non-inclusive monetary unit. As such, I am paying you the 5,000 in Pesos.

Thank you for your understanding and inclusiveness.

I wonder if Colorado State receives any federal grants or federal funding? It’s time to pull and reallocate to a more deserving cause.

Note to parents of high schoolers:

Avoid spending thousands of dollars on colleges like this.

...and remember this is the same "school" that employs a faculty member named Poon who promotes violence against her political opponents:

Well, we're the 2nd largest and most populous on the western hemisphere. Also the largest economy on Earth. And the largest military. Yeah safe to say we're pretty friggin dominant.

We need a far eastern Pacific Ocean asteroid impact. One about a quarter mile wide will do.

That’s actually been stated for decades.

When I was in grade school I was taught that referring to America rather than to the United States was vague and incorrect, due to the existence of other North American countries.

Granted, the teachers who told us that were being respectful/patriotic towards the US, not white knighting for illegal immigrants.

So we need to know who is a US citizen...

Hmmm, I sure bet CSU receives plenty of funding from the AMERICAN GOVERNMENT and not the Mexican, Guatemalan, Peruvian, etc. Morons!

Other words from their list:

Basket Case

The Blind / The Deaf / Eye for an Eye

Take the cake/cakewalk

Freshman

He or She

Ladies and Gentlemen

Male/Female

Long time no see

Peanut Gallery

Rule of thumb

And my favorite:

Starving / I’m Starving / I’m Broke

When used in place of simple saying “I’m hungry” or “I’m low on cash right now”, these terms appropriate real situations of hardship and can cause harm to individuals who are experiencing extreme poverty or hunger crisis.

CSU stupidity

Deity of your choice bless the United States of America
Land that I have ambivalent yet somewhat pleasant feeling for
Stand beside her..or him..or the queer thing
And guide her..him..it
Through the night (or day) with the light from above or below or off to the side

this song is gonna be exhausting!

What bird brain came up with this? It's so ridiculous I'm apt to believe someone was seeing how far the dopes in the administration would go.
