Colonial Pipeline lied about the amount of money they gave the hackers...

They initially said they didn't give them anything, then admitted that they actually gave the hackers $5 million to end the cyber attack on their systems. Turns out that, too, was a lie. Colonial Pipeline reportedly paid the hackers upwards of $90 million.

That’s a lot of Bitcoin for the CIA to have.

It would have been better to invest in a competent IT department. Not having backup files is almost criminal.

check was made out to the DNC, thats who the hackers were, or i should say CIA was directed by them to shut it down
by any means necessary is not a slogan to them but its part of their religion

How do you think this expense shows up on their annual report?

Sounds like it's just their Nomination system. It also looks like it's network segmentation that bit them. That is self inflicted.

Come on man.
You know they ain't keeping it.
They needed the money so that they could fund the next "boogie-man" that hates us so that they can strip us of more liberties and start another endless war.

I read this report not as colonial paying 90 mil in ransom, instead a foreign actor paying someone to hack. Maybe I am wrong.
Edit:
Reading more, it seems like the 90 million might have been total payments to the wallet over the course of their operations, meaning, all the ransoms paid by all the victims they have had. I wrote about this last week, no longer is traditional approach of maintaining good backups to restore from and telling the hackers to eff off always a possible approach, a lot of times they are not just ransoming your data from being destroyed, but they are also ransoming it from being released which can have far greater impacts. Think of the impact to intel agencies, health record companies, financial institutions, they have a ton to lose if their data goes public.

I thought $5M was incredibly low of Colonial to have to pay to get back in operation. No clue what their daily revenue is but I'm sure it's closer to the $90M number rather than the $5M number.

It was $5 million. Try reading.

I find that hard to believe and unlikely...your link is pretty weak.

Would have been worth it to pay 90 million to the Russian mafia to kill the hackers.

What if
Because there was NO hackers.
Colonial profited off of the higher prices, the deep state got another crisis.
What are the odds that we the people will bail them out for the ransom?
