It is amazing how the career politicians -who have never been in the real world -suddenly panic when there might come a time when they have to wipe their own arse.

Which has absolutely DICK to do with anything.

What she’s saying is that she’s abdicating her responsibilities as a sitting US Senator 6 weeks early. She’s basically stealing a paycheck in that time.

Before we crucify her:

This was approved by McConnell. This may give her some momentum in her race.

We don’t need her vote. We want her to win that seat - she might even be able to help Trump to carry extra 2 statewide electors from ME if he finishes strong enough.

This is planned and has Mitch’s blessing.

If she’s the only one who does this it’s clearly strategic and will play very well with the swing voters in ME.

Mitch has this under control - I really do believe that. I don’t know if we’ll get a justice through before the election but this is a smart move designed at us having our cake and eating it too.

This is exactly what happened. Mitch has his votes
Collins still has a chance in her race.

Collins says she will vote 'no' on Supreme Court nominee before election
She waited until Mitch told her he already has the votes before she announced her no vote.

She's fighting for her life to get re-elected in bi-polar Maine which is 47% Democrats and 36% Republican but 90% social justice warriors.

This is the answer.

That's pure suicide - the only principled thing would be to abstain - to cast a "no" vote would be pure spite.

I have been thinking she would hold on to the seat. She is gone now. Her decision to vote No and Corey Gardner’s to vote yes, probably mean that both those seats are gone. We pick up AL, but we really need McSally to win now. The GOP is killing it with new voters registration in AZ especially in Maricopa give me hope she can hang on.

Do it now and let a Gideon take that seat, at this point she's probably closer to a republican than Collins is.

If it weren't the norm for her, I might believe you. Unfortunately it's par for the course for her. I doubt they give her the easy out.
