We've heard from tigerinDC.
I wonder what other prominent Dems think about todays proceedigs?

"Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), the top Democrat on the Judiciary Committee on if she’s watching the Cohen hearing:
It’s on, but I’m doing other things. I think he has a credibility problem.

Considering Cohen said today that the money was from Don’s personal bank account or his trust, id say that’s not campaign money unless he was depositing it in his personal bank account.

That was just one of the payments.

The other payments were fraudulently labeled as a retainer fee. That is illegal.

quote: Asking again. Please link to the campaign finance crime that that equals a felony and he is being charged for. quote: In the Manhattan courtroom, Cohen told U.S. District Judge William Pauley that “blind loyalty” led him to cover up for Trump. Cohen said he was ready to provide “as much information as I truthfully possess” on the president. “I am committed to proving my integrity and ensuring that history will not remember me as the villain of his story,” Cohen said, choking up at times while giving his statement. “I am truly sorry and I promise I will be better.” Pauley sentenced Cohen to three years for the payments, and unrelated crimes of tax evasion and misleading banks. He gave Cohen two months for lying to Congress about a proposed Trump Tower project in Russia. The judge said the two terms would run simultaneously and he set March 6 for Cohen’s surrender. LINK

So you can't provide the information.

What? It's in the Trump Organization's tax filings they submitted to the state of New York and the FEC.

You don't have to believe Cohen on any of this.. SDNY has the goods.

i'm still not seeing solid proof. Its still his word against trump.

what I took though is the continuing question of the other corroborators that were there. They came up several times and i'm telling you is their plan for the impeachment. They will subpoena those people soon.

If these checks or documents were proof of illegal activity the court currently investigating would be holding on to that evidence.

NOPE... in fact what Cohen presented was a clear picture that it was retainer money. Each 35K for 12 payments..

35 x 12 is NOT 130K

During the 2016 election, Cohen paid $130,000 to adult film actress Stephanie Clifford, known as Stormy Daniels, and arranged for a publishing company to pay $150,000 to model Karen McDougal for her story in exchange for the women agreeing to not go public with allegations that they had affairs with Trump. (Trump has denied having affairs with either Clifford or McDougal.)
Prosecutors said the purpose of the hush payments was to influence the 2016 election, and treated them as campaign contributions, which are subject to restrictions under the Federal Election Campaign Act.
Cohen’s payment to Clifford, they said, exceeded the $2,700 limit on personal contributions to a single candidate for an election. The payment he helped arrange for McDougal flouted the ban on corporations contributing directly to campaigns.

I find it hard to believe that the SDNY would not have already dropped the hammer on this if they believed Trump would be convicted.

Cohen dealt with the "credibility" issue head on.

only a fool would think this was a good day for Trump.

DoJ guidelines say a sitting POTUS can't be indicted.
