There is no “fradulent” claim about that. They are trying to tie him to Felix (convicted felon) and claim that his interest in Russia was more then he claimed while running for election. The fraud they are working on with him, is misleading bank statements on application for a potential loan from the bank to make an offer for the Buffalo Bills back in the day

So basically the claim is that Trump used his campaign and potential election as a tool in the Tower negotiations or maybe Russia was trying to use them as leverage? Otherwise, it wouldn't be a crime to just have the negotiations considering they've been trying to do them for some time, right?

That Trumps lawyers edited Cohen's testimony to comport more with Trumps statements about business with Russia in the campaign.

The only way this hearing can not be seen as a huge disaster for the Dems is for the media to spin and outright lie about it. We have Cohen's lies being caught in real time, nothing from him about anything illegal or even beyond the standard dem and media talking points, and his outright refutation of many of the gotchas they've pinned their hopes on.

Right, this is literally a case where the coverup is the only crime here. It's bad, but legal to lie to the public about Trump's negotiations for the Trump Tower Moscow.
