The painting is and has been in Trump’s residence. Self-dealing.
Transparency of donations is irrelevant to the point. See Clinton foundation. You said it was funded by Trump entities. It wasn’t.
Why didn’t he just use his own billionaire funds to buy his self-portrait? Because he’s a terrible human being who skirts the law at every opportunity for his own gain.
Let’s entertain the notion for a minute that this transaction is not self-dealing. Let’s say Trump found a loophole that allowed him to legally use charitable trust funds to hand a portrait in his foyer. Is that an ethical decision by a laudable man?
This isn’t a talking point, it’s a character assessment. Legality of the transaction aside, who buys a portrait of themselves at an inflated price just to prop up his own ego?

Simple.
Scott Angelle fricked over conservatives in helping JBE get elected Governor by refusing to endorse David Vitter.
Then he had the nerve to run for a house seat less than a year later and he didn't know it but he was fricked as those same conservatives were out for blood against him and were more than willing to vote for someone like Clay fricking Higgins over that self serving turncoat who refused to be a team player when it mattered most.
