Dude, if you instruct someone to lie to Congress and it can be proven it is a federal crime. Period. It doesn't matter when it happened.

Can you cite the law please.

The article said that telling Cohen to lie to congress is obstruction, obstruction of the FBI investigation and special counsel investigation. If the FBI and SC investigations did not exist then there is no obstruction that’s why timing matters.

If a President knowingly destroys or alters evidence, suborns perjury, or induces a witness to change testimony, or commits any act deliberately impairing the integrity of available evidence, then he, like anyone else, commits the crime of obstruction.

So do we lock Hillary and Trump up or are they both just above the law?

Well if you want to discuss an alternate reality where the investigations didn’t exist then you would be right and there wouldn’t be a story.

But the investigations exist in our reality, so it doesn’t matter “if they didn’t exist”.

Just answer the question. What date did Trump instruct Cohen to lie?

If Trump instructed Cohen to lie to congress right after the election how is this obstruction? When did these instructions to lie to congress occur?

I don’t know. Ask the new AG

I want the die hard trump supporters to go on record here. If they have stone cold, irrefutable proof that Trump told Cohen to lie to congress will you think it’s a big deal

Half of the FBI witnesses lied through their teeth to Congress, including James Comey. And Andy McCabe is under investigation as we speak for lying to investigators. News broke the other day that James Baker (FBI lawyer) might also be in deep shite. If this investigation was on the up and up, why all the lying? Why did Bruce Ohr's testimony differ so much from the others? Why the refusal to answer certain questions? Why all the firings? (Trump didn't fire them - they were fired internally).

Glenn Simpson (Fusion GPS) sat up there and lied his arse off as well. He wouldn't even answer most of the pertinent questions and refused to appear at all without preconditions. Why does Chris Steele still refuse to this day to testify? If Steele was just some honest guy trying to get to the truth what's he got to hide? If I were him I would be itching to get up there and set the record straight and shut down people like Hannity who constantly talk shite about me. But, nope the dude is in hiding. Granted he is British and not a U.S. citizen but that doesn't mean he can't come over here and testify.

So, no, I don't give a shite. frick this two tiered justice system. If all the liars from the FBI are prosecuted, then we'll talk.

While that would be important for the Mueller investigation, the specific date doesn’t matter if the story is correct and they have the evidence of it.

Why are you asking for a really specific detail for a breaking story when the important detail for the story is whether it happened or not, not the precise moment it happened. If it did happen and they have strong evidence of it, then we’ll find out when they release the report.

This, folks, right here is the problem.

You hate America. There is a system in place. When you disavow the system, we have a big problem. That's something on which both sides will agree.

You are putting party before country.

Yeah I have no idea what this guy is talking about.

Its OK to not want to believe it. It may not be true. But damn, my guy is asking for specific dates and laws lol

If this is true and can be proven it is the end of this president. Period.

(I'm neither a Dem nor a Republican)

I already explained why the date matters for the charge of obstruction as the article claims in a previous post.

As hard as everyone came out on this tonight...and corroboration via texts and emails NOT just Cohen’s testimony. It’s pretty damning. 45 will be unleashing tweets in the am.

Cohen provided testimony sometime in the summer of 2017.

He’ll just call Cohen a liar and hope most people ignored the parts of the article that say there is plenty of evidence that back up the claims.

It comes from video games where it means non-player character (actually older games like D&D but usually attributed to video games). In the video games, an NPC is controlled by the computer and has limited responses. Used as a pejorative term in reference to a person on the opposite side of an argument that constantly uses the same talking points and buzzwords over and over. Primarily used by the right.
