"Real sugar" is a highly processed food itself.

My lowest stakes conspiracy theory that is founded in absolutely nothing but personal opinion is that New Coke was a deliberate head fake that was designed to fail, but bought Coca-Cola time to make the switch in the manufacturing process from cane sugar to HFCS, cemented with the Coke Classic brand that remerged "by popular demand", months later.

Bought damn time.. I’ve been buying the 24 bottles flat at Costco when I have a taste for coke. It’s a pain in the arse but it’s the best tasting..

Isn't that the way they make Mexican Coke?
And Canadian Coke.
Come to think of it... Coke in just about every single other country.

Nope. Coke has responded. And why would anyone think that Coke is changing their formula? They learned the hard way in the 1980s.

Corn lobby pissed . Lol

What's odd is in many countries it is Sugar and you can get Passover coke in two liter bottles that is sugar. It wouldn't take a huge change. Just go back to the pre-1985 process.

Lock up the cane producing States lol

No it doesn't. Zero difference in taste between a Coke made in the US using cane sugar or HFCS.
I have had the Kosher Coca Cola in 2 liter bottles. It's made with cane sugar because corn is not Kosher and not permitted during Passover.
I can taste the difference. It is a slight difference, but, there is a difference.
To heck with high fructose corn syrup, anyway. It's more poison than cane sugar.

Coke did not say that they are switching to cane sugar.

It's really not. If you like the taste better, fine, but don't delude yourself into thinking it's healthier.

No way ya'll really believe that Coca-Cola would switch up the recipe in the US. Trump probably talked to some guy in the mail room at Coca-Cola.

They're offering a cane sugar version (which they already do), not switching the flagship version. Not that hard to comprehend.

Zhevia is a good brand. It’s the only soda I touch nowadays and it has like 4 ingredients. It’s weird though, because the cola flavor is clear.
