Get a Mexican coke. Uses real sugar and it tastes better. Comes only in glass bottles.

You mean you don't think they could go back to the formula they used before they switched the recipe to use to high fructose corn syrup?

I never said they couldn't. I said they won't.

Passover Coke is even better. There is a touch more carbonation in it, and you get that little bite/burn at the end.

Like the other guy said - the Formula will remain the same. Real sugar Coke tastes like Coke should taste - just like it did in the 1950s and 1960s.

I've tried it because I've had Kosher Coke when I lived in Atlanta. It's Coke, but, it's better.

Real sugar Coke IS INDEED the original Formula Coca Cola, because originally, the drink was made with sugar, not high fructose corn syrup.

Is is the way it was made up until they introduced "New Coke" decades ago. That's when the switch happened. After "New Coke" failed they brought back the "Original", but with the corn syrup instead of cane sugar. It was all a hoax to switch the ingredients.

Insulin makers won't care, because cane sugar coke will create just as many customers for them as HFCS coke.

They use about 70 million bushels of corn per year.

Damned near all of it, yes. Oh but then we'd be dependent on the carribean for our sugar? oh well.

The price of land (and by default, housing), roads being in a lot better condition due to no cane trucks, plus the tax money saved by not paying sugar farmers, are all well worth not growing our own sugar. It's a scam. And the only logical reason for anyone to defend it is to be a part of it.

I don't know man. I asked Chat GPT, Grok, and Google searches, and everything I find says it's real sugar cane.

Whatever's cheapest. We probably subsidize both but corn syrup wins that battle with our current perverse incentives.

Neither one is good for you, especially in large amounts. Hell, the HFCS most used in processed foods has LESS fructose than white table sugar. We're a nation of unhealthy fatasses because we consume too much sugar, period. Switching from corn syrup to cane sugar doesn't solve anything, reducing the overall amount we consume will.

In 1985 Coca Cola took coke off the market. I think this is when they made the switch to HFCS.
