It's interesting they are admitting to a 1-2 minute delay, standard tactic when they intend the delay to be much longer than that. They now have plausible deniability to say "Of course there was a slight delay, it's standard live broadcast practice, we were up front about that".
It's going to be more than 1-2 minutes. 10 minutes minimum. When the debate starts late, they'll blame Trump for not being ready on time.

Kind of like they wouldn’t lie about an entire plague, slander the #2 drug in the world after penicillin as horse dewormer, refer hydroxychloroquine to as fish tank cleaner, tell the people that the President said to ingest bleach, and that Trump said that Nazis and white supremacists are very fine people. CNN is the source feed, so whoever is simulcasting the debate will see what CNN wants them to see. Same thing CNN shows.
