They're sealed indictments. Why is that smoke and mirrors?

Logic dictates that it's probably the guy whose home was raided and was told "you're going to be indicted"

What happened to him? He used to be a pretty reasonable conservative and now he's a walking and talking caricature of Bill Kristol and his pretentious shtick on this board.

I honestly thought I had him confused with someone else. Used to be a thoughtful poster here (and that's saying something) but the guy acts like Trump literally grabbed him by the pussy

What purpose does sealing them serve?

On top of that, releasing it on Friday night where there will now be loads of unfounded speculation over the weekend is "smoke and mirrors".

I bet they start impeachment proceedings against Trump. I am a Trump supporter but he has these frickers by the nuts and they are about to end his presidency. I hope i'm wrong but these people are fricking criminals and they will not allow him to expose them in my opinion.

They are ruthless criminals, and see their window of opportunity slipping away, no doubt; but we may as well see if they are willing to go all-in. Like they say, if you're gonna assassinate the emperor...better not miss.

Ben Wittes doesn't like the sourcing of the story so far, and notes that it appears to be "an egregious leak and may actually be law enforcement leak."

Yeah generally speaking when the feds raid your house you are fricked.

1) They probably already have you totally dead to rights
2) If they dont they can pull out the 47 volumes and 50,000 pages of federal law code and find something to charge you with anyways

Its Manafort. This will get libs in a little joy of more and the story will be dead after he gets under 2 years time for whatever it is.

Has anyone else reported this aside from CNN?

That's really all that matters

Doc’s good peeps. He’s just a devoted Neocon and he’s having trouble adjusting and so he lashes out with all kind of sanctimonious pronouncements.

If you don't think this will impact Trump then you better check yourself into the nearest mental institution. It's hilarious how all the Trumpkins said this investigation was nothing but a witch hunt and nothing would come of it. Now that indictments are coming down they are saying that Trump is in the clear and is innocent even though he hired these corrupt individuals to run his campaign and to serve in his cabinet. Trump is implicit in this investigation the only question is how involved he truly is. But Trumpkins will never admit it even if he's impeached

So does this mean the special counsel has concluded?

Why not just wait and indict everyone after the investigation is complete?
