Texas has open primaries. As a kid, I thought that they seemed like a good idea. As an adult, I don't think that even "closed" primaries are adequately-restricted as to who may participate.
If Dems voting in the GOP primary puts Cheney back in the House, I will feel vindicated on this point.

With multiple fringe candidates pulling votes and complacent voters sitting home due to polls showing a 20+ lead, Cheney could very well win with every dem in WY voting for her.
