Wow, that's some entitled bullshite! LOL....I think that after the lawsuit is smacked down with extreme prejudice, that Trump should then just ban CNN all together from the whitehouse.

NOpe, this was yet another unforced error by the White House, you don't ban a buffoon like Accosta, or his network. You ice them out, no interviews, no questions during press conferences, etc etc. Let him sit there day after day knowing his name won't be called.

Can you spend the night there? Can you freely access it?

Your definition of “public” has no basis. (There’s tons of media stare decide about what the media has access to and not).

If you were correct (and you’re not) every person in LA could stand on the sidelines for an LSU game. Afterall TS *is* “literally owned by the citizens of LA”.

Federal buildings are public. Try skipping the security line.

Access isn't guaranteed. Poops is simple like his name.

This entire public/private debate is as stupid as the argument about public vs private comapnies and privately-held vs publicly-traded. The meaning of the term depends upon context.

The White House is clearly public property, just like missile silos. That does not equate to “free access for the public” in either case.

Yep, just idiots arguing an idiotic point. I doubt there is one fricking person in this country who doesn't actually agree that even though the White House is public property the government via the Executive Branch has the right to restrict entrance as they see fit.

Damn , can't we get back to a time when people could agree on basic facts at least?

Anyone have Sam Donaldson's affidavit? Does it say Trump is a meanie peanie?

Sam hasn't written one yet...What is the overall point of CNN? That Sam Donaldson is trusted and respected because he is a 90 year old marxist globalist?

I've seen that proposed, mostly by Bill Kristol, Rick Tyler, Mittens Romney NeverTrump ""Republican"" types.

To understand how wrong that thesis is, one need only look at April Ryan's behavior at this most recent WHPC. She was not called on, but she inserted herself nonetheless.

Acosta would have interrupted, disrupted, disrespected, and otherwise made an arse/nuisance of himself until he made whatever point he intended, whether or not he was called on.

How can CNN ever pretend to be an objective news source when their headline includes blue wave?

The Trump Administration didn't remove Accosta's press credentials. I'm not reading this entire thread, but has anyone pointed that out?

I'd LOVE to see a court rule that the President's Administration doesn't have a right to restrict security passes for the White House LOL

They obviously could restrict it. My question is.. if they are holding a press conference where is the line drawn.. if anywhere? I have no idea but I think the idea of allowing only infowars is absurd..

I have to agree with this. It makes his case, albeit ridiculous, look sympathetic. Trump could have just stopped calling on him, which would have made Acosta look more unhinged as he kept trying to interrupt.

Sorry, but no. A mic, contrary to what some have suggested, isn't an extension of his body. She grabbed the mic, he pushed her arm down, committing simple battery in most states.

Pragmatically, no. But in most jurisdictions it is treated that way for tort purposes.

Downvote away, but it is textbook, black-letter law.

AGAIN, he was being an arse and should have surrendered the mic.

Not as absurd as trying to imply Inforwars is any less legit as CNN/MSNBC/ABC/NBC/CBS/PBS/BBC/FOX/WASHPOST/NYTIMES at this point in current year.

So according to you, Acosta can even follow President Trump into the WH bathroom and ask President Trump a question while he's on the throne taking a poop.
