Of course, one of the interesting sidebars to all this is something that feminists and progressives never bring up. Ukraine is fighting for its very existence and is running out of manpower. Why aren't they using women in Frontline combat roles??? If things are this dire numbers-wise, why exclude half your available troop strength?
I'm guessing it's because what no one will say out loud is, not only are women useless in combat roles, they're actually detrimental. But, no one in the US military command structure has enough balls to bring that issue up here.

Yep, things in the ME didn't heat back up like they expected... I am thinking they will go with something in the Pacific Theater this time... Been awhile...
MIC has got to eat...

In the last 2 years 550,000 draft eligible men left Ukraine and are in other countries.
It's hard for corrupt governments to get soldiers for their wars without using threats. That's why recruitment numbers are falling in the US. I wouldn't want my family members to die so our corrupt politicians could get even wealthier.

Can't blame the deserters. Who wants to get picked apart by a drone you cant.see and go home without your extremities and spend the next 50.yrs with a fricked body and head while at the same time you.know it's a losing cause.

Of course you should feel bad for them. It’s not their fault they are being used as neocon chess pieces
Yeah, it’s the warmongering pieces of shite in the OT thread that don’t give a single frick about these people’s lives. They’re just thrilled being keyboard warriors getting erections from mass slaughter and don’t consider the Ukrainians or the Russians as human beings with families, kids, and friends. Just throw them into the meat grinder so I can play real life Age of Empires!

as much as I like to rag on clown puppet Zelensky, you have to feel bad for the guy. neocons fed him a whole bunch of bullshite, even dangling NATO membership.
Not to mention if Zelensky loses the war, then the Neo-Nazis standing behind him with chop up him and his entire family and feed them to the fishes. I actually do feel bad for Zelensky and don’t think I’d be doing anything different if I were in his situation.

Hey landshark,
You know I go over there every couple of days and list the real news, add in some "give back to the motherland what is Russia's" and thats good for a couple of pages of derogatory comments.
But what is odd, the comments inevitably are about oral sex and Putin, those folks have some serious projection issues, I think they secretly have crushes on the ole fella.
The war itself is a sad human waste on both sides, and could have easily been prevented.
I think the next laundry operation is already in place in the Philippines, building seven new bases there, a willing corrupt govt, and a bad guy in China.

How do you think the war ends? Disputed territories for the next x number of years? Or updated clear boundaries between the two countries

I don't think anyone is really rooting for Russia. They're upset because (a) the U.S. assisted a coup 10 years ago and has been meddling there ever since; (b) $100 billion plus sent there; and (c) there have been multiple off ramps, but the neocons like Nuland wanted to try to break Russia.

It’s because those people have no facts on their side and they deep down know that they’re cheering on the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people in the name of the LARP.

I mean, it’s definitely possible, but I think even the warmongers realize there will be total economic collapse if that happens where they’re slightly more cautious with China than with Russia.

With the borders as they exist now, Donbas and certainly Crimea consider themselves Russian. Heck the number one country taking in refugees from Ukraine is, Russia.
No one is a Russian fan, but I certainly am no fan of that corrupt shathole we have sent 200 billion to. Remember to check the fine print, a large chunk of the "aid" is going through USAID and other agencies so its not "technically" counted in the dollars of direct aid the press counts.
