I suppose it has nothing to do with all the reliability issues concerning engines in several former models. No, it's Trumps fault!

Far more truthful to say Obamas EPA rules caused this by requiring over engineered power plants where the tiniest flaw can ruin the engine in 2000 miles of service.

So why are they claiming tariffs are causing profit losses?

More CNBC BS?

Toyota is addressing this. The "owner" of Toyota pledged $10 Billion investment in US Manufacturing (even though he wasn't the owner anymore and had been dead for 4 years).

I sit in a conference room at Toyota HQ every week and I can tell they do not believe tariffs are the issue.

I mean, it's in the 6-K. Blame Toyota if you have issue with their analysis.

Tariffs don’t help their bottom line but the real issue is reliability brought forth by emission standards wrecking the best engine on the market

Probably tariffs on parts manufactured abroad. I worked for a Japanese supplier for Toyota and probably 75% of the parts we used came from Asia. Even fasteners came from Japan.
