All else fails, we are still in a nationwide state of energency over this covid19 thing and Trump is within his rights right now to activate troops and arrest everyone involved. Why do I say that? Because the same people are also involved in this hoax virus biological attack on our country. All Trump would have to do is present proof that the virus was man-made and released intentionally and the military can be brought in to investigate/round up anyone involved.

Interesting response from Flynns lawyers on what Klinesmiths lawyer is saying

Huge problem. His lawyer also says he denied it was knowing and intentional. Judge cannot accept that plea. Someone is not shooting straight.
Highly suspicious

Clinesmith’s lawyer, Justin Shur, told the Associated Press that his client will plead guilty to a single false statements charge as part of a cooperation agreement with the government.

Clinesmith will get off for flipping and then the ones he flipped on will still skate(insufficient evidence, no reasonable prosecutor excuse).
In the end, no democrat or their supporters all spend more than a day in jail.

Not just Trump and Family, B...think Mike Flynn, times a thousand.
There are only two electoral possibilities in play: Trump wins in a landslide with a credible/unchallengeable vote, or Biden wins via massive voter fraud via mail in ballots. If it's the latter, Trump - per your scenario - will pull the trigger...and he'll have the Military, Civil LE and all the Red on that Map behind him. The Cities are all that the Libs have; and they are destroying them as we type. Bring the heathen into stable and prosperous communities who will NOT abide the endangerment of their children...and that is the spark that ignites your scenario.
Barack Obama et al had better hope and pray that it's 'Trump' at the seat of the coming Reactionary Revolution...because if it's done the hard way with a lot of pain and death, the 'French Revolution' model will prevail...and that will be a lot more revenge driven.
The Left blew it big time when the abandoned Equal Justice and Rule of Law. The absence therein will be their 'judge'. "By what measure ye met, it shall be metted again unto you". And those of us who fear God's judgement re our next life, had better be damn careful just how far we go too. Can be hard to slow the momentum of a swinging pendulum down.

Dear god, just give me Stroker Ace and Page. I would love one higher than that, but I would be content with the result.

It's pretty damn clear he was guilty, it's one charge that will probably net little time in jail. He very well could be the fall guy.

the reason many legal analysts think he has "flipped" is because durham picked a lenient thing to charge him with.

I think he’s cooperating, but what were the other options for which he could be charged?

A hint in Clinesmith plea. Durham could have indicted on 18 USC §1519, destruction of federal investigative records, which attracts a 20 year max sentence. Instead the plea is to a §1001 “false statements” charge, only 5 years. Suggests Crossfire’s main FBI lawyer is cooperating

The law?
or the Federal Court filing?

I think they charged the guy with about as much as they could. Looks to me like 18 USC 1519 is more geared toward manipulating or destroying records, docs etc with the knowing intent to obstruct or influence an investigation into the person themselves, not a person doing it to get a leg up on another person who they themselves are investigating. If that makes any sense. In other words, if Clinesmith would have altered the email for the purpose of obstructing Durham's investigation into Clinesmith et al, then 18 USC 1519 would apply.
Clinesmith's alteration was instead for the purpose of manipulating an investigation which he was a part of conducting.
Clinesmith can and will still be motivated to do what he can to convince the government to recommend a sentence closer to 1 year (or less if possible) than the max 5 years. That's his incentive to cooperate. 5 years may not seem like a lot in the grand scheme of things, but there's no doubt that guy ain't 5 day material, much less 5 years. He'll do anything he can to mitigate that possibility.

So you sadly think the Republicans are going to do something about this?

quote:Pared down to the pertinent language, Appears to me to exactly define Clinesmith's actions.
Whoever knowingly alters any document with the intent to influence an investigation within the jurisdiction of any department of the United States shall be fined under this title, imprisoned not more than 20 years, or both.
