Clever maneuver from Ford team: Senate Judiciary Committee rules require consent of the minority for chairman to schedule a hearing with less than one week notice. So now, without Dem consent, earliest hearing could be is next Thursday.

Fine schedule it Thursday but this is it. If she doesn't show up the vote happens in its place.

Grassley should say. “Great. If Feinstein doesn’t agree, then she doesn’t think it’s important. We’ll vote Monday.”

Or, Grassely can just say it's been previously announced the hearing of Ford's testimony has been scheduled for Monday and say he's sticking to that schedule.

Yep.

In reality, there's nothing the Dems can do about.

What? Not show up to the committee meeting? Makes the vote even easier.

Oh how I wished he would do just that. But I'm afraid he won't.

Wasn't the minority clamoring for her day before the committee? Hearing was held with over a week's notice.

Kick rocks.

Anita Hill testified in three days. Get yo shite together, Blasey.

(She’s never going under oath. They don’t know what the Pubbies have yet. But they are wary. And she’s never going to testify.)

She sat on this letter for months. If Grassley has sat on the letter, they’d have an argument for a further delay. But they created the initial delay. They don’t get to continue to delay.

yes, sadly the game must be played by their rules or repubs look like meanies

i wonder if they can schedule the vote for next thursday right now even before testimony is given? i mean they can always delay the vote if some bombshell info is claimed by this troll that needs investigating
