The crazy transgender killer bought seven guns — somehow hiding them from her parents in the house — despite receiving treatment for mental health issues. Police said if they’d been aware of this fact they could have seized her weapons. But the parents didn’t know she had this many guns and didn’t inform the police. Infuriating.

They should have called police even if they knew she had one?

That's code for "call the police and tell on your neighbors with guns"

How did she pass a background check done by the FBI? We need to know where he bought the guns and how he passed the background check. Guns must have been purchased from an individual.

Media is to blame. Killer knew shed be an instant celebrity once she killed kids. And they delivered spectacular ratings for the evil bitch.

Im calling bullshite on the parents.

With parents of normal kids, its really hard to know what your kid is doing. But if you are treating them for mental illness, how are you now watching their every move?

This is insane to me. The parents are just as messed up and the kid was.

Did you see the pic of the kids room? Looks like an episode of Hoarders. No decent parents let their kid live like that. Clearly they had checked out.

How do you jump from person being treated for mental illness to just a random neighbor?

Strawmen are a rather sad tactic.

Not all states are reporting mental health statuses to NICX. La has started the process where if you are adjudicated the State Supreme court is reporting to NICX(FBI Brady background check system).

There has been a big push for all states to start doing this over the past 7-8 years and FEDGOV is giving grant money to states to report.

According to early reporting 2 of the guns were purchased through a dealer and she passed the BGC.

Those types of scenes are very very easily manipulated, of course.

Slippery slope. In California, a stranger can call police and tell them you stated you were going to kill yourself or hurt someone else. The police have the right to place what's called a 5150 hold on you and take you to the ER. The ER Dr has to see you within 15 minutes and the psychological response team has to see you within 24 hours. ER Drs never discharge 5150 patients, because of liability. The form that the police fill out is an application for a 5150 hold. Only a licensed member of the psychological response team can write the actual 5150 hold. That hold means that you have to remain in the ER until the hospital can find a bed for you in a psychological treatment facility.

Let's say your wife gets mad at you and calls the police. She states that you are acting strangely, and she's afraid that you'll hurt yourself. 100 out of 100 times the police are going to write an app for a 5150 and take you, by force if necessary, to the nearest hospital for evaluation. Let's just say what your wife says is complete bullshite, and the psychological response team in the ER discharges you, that application for a 5150 remains on file with the police that wrote it.
It is now proof that you have been treated for mental illness. California is already using previous 5150 applications to restrict the sales of guns to those individuals.

The murderer was 28 years old. At what point are the parents not responsible for the decisions of their adult children unless they broke a law, themselves?

1.) She/He only needed one gun, number of guns is irrelevant

2.) If any “mental health” issue is a barrier to ownership then 40% of Americans are ineligible. That crap is all subjective and part of Dr privilege anyway right?

If a single gun had been present at the school, we’d all be watching school footage of her getting cut down upon entry.

One theory is she was 28 and they would ignore facets of her life and decided they would never visit that room and just exist with her in their presence. Just need more insight and info into her homelife, but doubt we will ever get the full scoop on that.

I will add that her parents knew more than they will admit to.
