This would wipe out the Democratic Party in one election.

Think about it.

It would eliminate about 50% of the voting public, and about 80% of Democrats.

I think a high school diploma should be a prerequisite. You basically have to survive and you get one.

Based upon the demographic data within the link in the other thread on same topic, Louisiana might not have more than a few hundred thousand votes cast.

If you look at the link in my thread, you can see that conservatives and liberals pass the test at about the same rate. Oddly enough, those who identify as "moderate" do worse than both.

You should have to have some military service or x number of hours if volunteer public service to be a full voting citizen, plus pass a citizenship test. Our problem is too many people vote, not too few

I’d be in favor of all voters being citizens.

Voter ID requirements + taking party affiliation off of the ballot would save our Republic, and bigly.

Just stop listing party affiliation. That would confuse th hell out of most of our voters

Voter ID card and an IQ test. I'm not sure what the minimum should be, but some people are definitely too dumb to be influencing our nation's future.

but certainly not absolute - there are many hs graduates that are functionally illiterate and completely ignorant of the American constitution and history.

I think that a voter should be able to pass the test all naturalized citizens have to pass in order to become citizens..

That test seemed more like a history test. I would prefer the citizenship test be more civics related. It's more important to understand the meaning behind the constitution and the philosophies of its authors than to know trivia about it.

True dat - but it is a published test that nobody thinks is "_________phobic" Using it as a qualification for voting - especially in federal elections - should be a no-brainer.

Improving on it would have to run the gamut of all the radical left-wing delusional establishment.
