Well sure, because Christianity wasn't a thing till Jesus.
You're saying things in an effort to look intelligent that instead make you look ignorant.

This thought process is what created the greatest country in the history of the world, the USA.
No a bunch of merchant deists created the country to avoid taxes from the British and determine their own destiny.
It was never about a Christian god

From the founding fathers literature what makes you think we were founded a with a mindset to promote the Christian faith?

Does your salvation depend upon your ability to perfectly understand theology?

That's a big if. Hell christians can't agree on much besides Jesus about their own religion.

Romans 10:9
"if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved".

You "works" based guys are so biblically illiterate it is shameful. Ya'll cherry pick verses without understanding the context and make it a doctrine. The whole new testament is about faith alone in Christ alone instead of keeping the law/works. If it is faith plus works, they already had that in the Jewish religion. They had to have faith and evidenced it by keeping the law and sacrifices, etc. Jesus was the perfect once and for all sacrifice. It is FINISHED. God didn't let his son get brutally murdered just to make the requirements the same.
John 6
28 Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?”
29 Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”
38 For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. 39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. 40 For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.”

Jesus alone paid the price of our sin-debt against God, and we receive forgiveness when we trust in Jesus alone by faith. If we try to add anything to our salvation, we say what Jesus did wasn’t enough, and we do not have the gospel.
Well Foo, you might as well be a piece of shite then. Go rob some banks, rape some women, murder anyone you don’t like. Because you’re a worthless sinner. There’s no good you can do to earn your eternal spot in paradise. Just believe real hard and you’ll die and enter eternal paradise with the people you raped and murdered.
Go ahead and tell Jesus he doesn’t need to come to make the final judgment. Explain to Jesus it doesn’t matter how people lived their lives, only that they believed in him.

Obviously Trump's statements do not agree with NT soteriology - by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.
But I think he acknowledges God and I'm grateful to God first and Trump that he does and that Trump has championed religious freedom from his early days of candidacy circa 2015.
Now, I wished he would see the perversion inherent in homosexuality.
