as black kids.

quote:

Comedian Chris Rock on his Netflix stand-up special “Tamborine” says he envisions “a world with real equality” where “an equal amount of white kids are shot every month” and there’s “white mothers on TV crying.” "

I want to live in a world where an equal amount of white kids are shot every month...I want to see white mothers on TV crying," says Rock.

People actually laughed at this during his act. I just called and canceled my NETFLIX subscription.

I dream the same dream, where the number for each group is 0.

Chris Rock is a comedian doing a bit. Let's try to keep that in perspective.

Well Chris can keep dreaming because everyone knows...

Never mind. Don't want to get banned.

I think you missed the point of the joke. That the black community's stance on equality seems to go missing with things that matter, like killing less people.

Street corners, Air Jordans and a $20 crack rock seem to be worth killing for many young black men. If only us white folk were as enlightened.

He's a comedian that said something silly while working. Who cares?

I understand he is a comedian, but he is calling for more white kids to be killed. That is a bit much.

I would like see 0 kids be murdered.

I understand the guy is a comedian. If Dane Cook said he wished all black kids would make as high ACT scores and have as good as GPA's as White kids and Asians what do you think would be the reaction?

Loud mouthed idiot...when was the last time Rock was in South Chicago promoting peace, love and harmony?

Buy the world a Coke Chris, or STFU

You're melting in an opposite yet equal fashion.

This has to be a conspiracy. Chris Rock is not dumb enough to fail to see the idiocy of what he is saying.

Let's say Anthony Jeselnik, who is known for being extremely offensive and abrasive (his mom+Holocaust joke made me kek profusely), said something equivalent. Something like, "I wish there were as many black mass shooters as there were mentally disturbed crackers". Despite his routine known for being very on-the-edge, he would immediately be blacklisted.

Now, I don't think that's fair. Comedians are meant to be soapbox philosophers who either shock people, make them think, or even better, both. But that's the way it would work.

Probably the same idiotic reaction from the other side of people who don't understand that comedians say outlandish and non-PC things to shock and entertain.

Based on his prior skits, I would think this isn't at all what he was saying....

Again, if I posted what I think he was actually saying, I'd likely get banned.
