I've read plenty of internet posts that think China did amazing and the reason the US is so bad is because of Donald Trump.

After this is over, I demand more tariffs on China for this shite. They need to pay.

Tariffs were the correct answer BEFORE this happened.

Now, it's completely cut them off.

Let them trade with North Korea.

Zero trade, zero travel. Bring it all back home.

...and discussions with Russia and Syria to lift tariffs and break the Ruso-Chinese axis.

I’ve always thought these were important arrests after Q dropped the DOJ links. When the virus started the chaos in China I felt justified in my certainty.

China should be thrown out of every world body all the way down to being banned from the olympics.

American companies should have a choice come back to our hemisphere at minimum or face sanctions. Preferably most manufacturing would return to our shores but getting it out of China is the first step.

Once that happens we should blockade them with our navy and Air Force.

Then leave them with only a few trade partners that can only deliver goods via land. We cut that number even more by laying down the law that if you trade with China you get no financial or military help from the US ever again.

I’m more surprised that they filed for a patent ... China sure doesn’t care about US patents.

I also think the average American consumer may be ok paying a little more to offset goods brought back home for production.

So is anyone still doubting that China released this virus?

I go back and forth on this. Was it accidental, purposeful, or natural? This tipped the scales a bit towards engineered.

quote:

In an article published in Nature Medicine1 on 9 November, scientists investigated a virus called SHC014, which is found in horseshoe bats in China. The researchers created a chimaeric virus, made up of a surface protein of SHC014 and the backbone of a SARS virus that had been adapted to grow in mice and to mimic human disease. The chimaera infected human airway cells — proving that the surface protein of SHC014 has the necessary structure to bind to a key receptor on the cells and to infect them. It also caused disease in mice, but did not kill them.

Editors’ note, March 2020: We are aware that this story is being used as the basis for unverified theories that the novel coronavirus causing COVID-19 was engineered. There is no evidence that this is true; scientists believe that an animal is the most likely source of the coronavirus.

I have avoided buying anything labeled GE for more than 25 years now and will continue to not spend my own and, only in no other real choice situations, employer money on GE.

I discovered in the mid 1990's how GE was stealing Billions of tax dollars on their mortgage servicing for Fannie and Freddie. They've since sold that division to a Canadian company (probably at least partially own the company though, that's the thing with the huge conglomerates, they own a shitload who own a shitload, etc., etc.).

Remember Jack Welch? The long time former GE CEO who just died? Check out Presidential Photo Ops dating back to Nixon through to the year 2000 of almost every business related signing of legislation and regulation. You'll find Welch lurking almost all those photos. He had a literal open door to the WH 24/7/365 for decades, just walk in and have a sit down with whoever was POTUS, unannounced day or night. Greater access than many of the Joint Chiefs.

I'm sure he was just chatting golf and grandkids all those times though.
