A video LINK from a meeting between Xi and Donald Trump in Beijing has gone viral, shows Xi seated on what users claim appears to be a taller sofa than Trump’s during the bilateral meeting.
The armchair Xi sat on, was clearly higher than Trump’s armchair, while Trump is 10 cm taller than ccp's supervisor Xi .

Just from looking at the picture it seems both chairs are the same height relative to the table.
It's pretty clear Trump is sitting on the front edge of the chair and hunched forward. It's pretty common for him.
There's lots to be mad at China about, this isn't it.

Staged picture. POTUS Trump is relaxed, leaning forward while Xi is tense, straight up with arms taking weight of of the seat cushion.

This could also be true. A photo like this aligns with China’s desire to project superiority and it wouldn’t surprise me at all if they set him up.

Nope. Note the table in back of the chairs; it’s level and the two inside arms are exactly on level with the table.

Arm rests are clearly the same height when compared to the table between them.
Don is much taller and heavier than XI, so why would they have similar statue when sitting in the same chair? His cushion will sink down much more than XI given the weight disparities. Is XI cushion more firm to keep him sitting higher?
