A poll from Pew Research Center conducted throughout March and released this week found that two-thirds of adults in the U.S. had an unfavorable view of China — the highest unfavorable rating the country has received in the 15 years that the research center has asked the question. Just 26% of respondents reported a favorable view of China, tying with the lowest level, which was set last year.

China's unfavorability has jumped 20 percentage points since President Trump took office in 2017. While more Republicans have unfavorable views of the nation than Democrats, both parties have followed a similar trend in growing distaste and reported their highest unfavorability ratings to date.

Nearly 9 out of 10 respondents reported that they see China as a threat to the U.S., with 62% listing the country as a "major threat." Respondents listed China's effect on the environment, cybersecurity, and trade as areas of concern.

Yet 50% of the US population will still vote for the candidate that said "China is not a threat"-Melting Brain Joe come November.

If they are splicing viruses without the technical capability or training to keep said viruses from escaping into the population, then they are a threat to humanity.
They're are one bad day at the lab away from 12 Monkeys.

Legit question: Since we've pretty much given up on the national debt, would declaring war on China allow us to write off the money they've loaned us?

I would be surprised if we come out of this "pandemic" without engaging in some kind of retaliatory military action. Sort of like attacking Afghanistan, et al after 9/11. Not sure what kind of justification they'll use this time around, but military action of some sort would not be surprising.

And morons will still vote by the millions for the guy who said China is of no threat and has consistently sucked China's dick and whose son is currently residing on the board of random Chinese companies

vs.

The guy who has a track record of consistently ripping China and putting full blown tariffs on them.

Shameful but not surprising coming from a nation built on slave labor. I think I'm going to kneel for the anthem while endorsing Nike.

Ummmmm, no. Unless it's an incident at sea or in the air, limited scope, where they antagonize us and we sink one of their ships or shoot down a few of their planes.
