I was on board with "Chinese cars are junk" until I actually started objectively looking into them. They are far ahead of us.

It's free for anyone to look up, he's in business with Bytedance.
So when did you become a US citizen?

Maybe you should move there and get a real taste of this great society.

China China China...get real, they have little natural resources outside of rare earth minerals, important but without energy (imported) and polluted water, housing bubble the size of Jupiter, not one officer has ever seen combat, etc..
They are fricked...they know it.
Water, pretty important, right...check this out.
" Lowy Institute estimates that 80–90 percent of groundwater in China is now unsuitable for drinking, and 50 percent is too polluted even for agricultural use "

They’ve provided zero data to independent engineers to substantiate their performance or reliability claims.
They also ignore the independent reviewers that show what utter garbage these cars are made from. One video shows the body panels are pressboard material and he's pulling chunks of the hood off with his bare hands

China has zero innovation. They only steal tech and make it cheaper. There is no long game with that model.

That’s why the hide behind paid YouTubers instead of getting DNV or UL to review their shite. I’d love to see a UL9540a test on their battery packs. But I doubt it ever happens. I get diligence requests from Chinese home energy storage OEMs weekly. So much that I had my team make an rfp style response where they just need to submit all the UL testing and independent testing and have yet to get a single response after that. It’s crazy how all these companies are propped up the the Chinese govt and just try to flood the market with their garbage.

Do some digging on how many of these mega cities are empty.

Beating us in EVs able to make the same or better cars for 1/7th the price. So much so we had to put 100% tariffs to prevent them from destroying our industry.
This can happen when Chinese government subsidizes construction of the facility (ie the gov/private ownership group get facilties built for free). The Chicoms then dump low priced materials into external markets and undercut competition. Goods made from these types of business should be tariffed heavily.
quote:So what? The US has an ocean of natural gas and coal that can power us for centuries.
Beating us in renewable power, they are the leaders in solar power and other renewables.
quote:Chicoms have peaked. Demographics is destiny and they are screwed.
Are we witnessing the birth of the new world power.

Non-AI blurb:
The cars are absolute junk and the exported cars are usually the better made as the domestic products are basically trash and BYD is shielded by the CCP.

BYD is running into some new obstacles as it expands its footprint in the Chinese and overseas markets. Chinese-made BYD models shipped to Europe, the Middle East, and South Asia are plagued with quality issues, The Wall Street Journal said in its latest report.
