This is terrible. i hope they get the fricks that did this and throw away the key.
Instead of politicizing this, I'd like to suggest that maybe random traffic stops are just putting our law enforcement in harms way, in situations that they can't possibly be prepared for. That cause undo stress.
Now I'm not saying we shouldn't be policing but there has to be a better way than just pulling random people over for minor infractions. (use more cameras and virtual policing, spend the resources investigating these crimes and targeting the right people in controlled situations).
Broken window policing is a failed policy that is proving dangerous for everyone at this point.

So, to your mind, these officers just randomly picked a car full of people to pull over.
Wow. You aren't smart. They were pulled over for a traffic violation, drunk driving, or because of outstanding warrants, or because they were suspects in a crime.
Let's follow that to its logical conclusion. Criminals are fine, as long as they're in a moving vehicle. In fact, let's just wait for the poor souls' consciences to get the best of them, and they walk up to the police station and turn themselves in...

The Latin Kings were patrolling their own neighborhood to keep out rioters because the cops were spread so thin. You also had South Side residents telling BLM protesters to GTFO because they wanted their police presence back.
The Police Union already gave a unanimous vote of "no confidence" in Lightfoot back in May. This horrible incident is really going to piss them off.
