The democrats are finally being exposed for having ZERO policies. Now they have to pick horrible hills to die on. It’s hilarious to watch their downfall.

LOL, I thought about who the judge is and what he looks like before I saw his picture. And guess what? I was right. Again!
DEI until they die.

U.S. District Judge Jeffrey Cummings ordered that ICE officers are barred from arresting migrants at courthouses if they don’t have a warrant. He also ordered that federal law enforcement can be arrested if they violate his orders.
Probable cause and exigent circumstances (ex: preventing flight) disagree. Sounds like the judge is engaging in Obstruction of Justice to me.

You mean, like in Nottingham?
No like the County Sheriff's department. A county sheriff can arrest a federal agent if the agent commits a crime, particularly if they are acting outside the scope of their duties or break state laws. While federal agents have immunity for acts performed within their official duties, this protection does not apply when they violate state laws or act outside their authority. This can lead to both state and federal prosecution for the agent, depending on the crime committed.
In this case, the judge is a DEI clown however,
A federal judge can compel a county sheriff to arrest federal agents if the agents are acting outside the scope of their legal authority, but this is complex and depends on specific circumstances. A federal judge has the power to enforce their orders and can deputize local law enforcement, including sheriffs, to do so. However, federal agents are often protected by immunity and the Supremacy Clause, which can limit state and local authority to prosecute them unless their actions are unlawful or outside their official duties.

The liberal fatigue is real.

I find it odd that SFP, who usually swoops into to law related threads like a fly to shite, hasn’t yet chimed in on why this local judge is right and somehow has the constitutional power to arrest federal agents in the act of enforcing federal law.

U.S. District Judge Jeffrey Cummings apparently thinks Supremacy Clause (pr. Claws) is a reference to Diana Ross and the Supremes' long painted nails.
I'm 99.99% sure this guy is personal friends with the mayor and fat assed governor.

That was a lot of text to say that my skepticism was well warranted. Just a heads-up, there are no billable hours on tRant.

Federal building??? Federal immigration officers
How does this judge have the authority?
on this subject, has anyone kept a list of all the orders and those already shot down by appeals and scotus? Seems like the vast majority of these orders are being shot down on a regular basis.
And for the millionth time...this is a Congress issue. Bring this judge up for impeachment and see what happens. This is how it stops.

Pretty simple. Just wait for them to leave the courthouse and then arrest them as they’re walking out.
Why should they allow a criminal the opportunity to potentially escape from a confined more secure building? They shouldn’t …

We should start arresting activist judges at the courthouse.

I would send about 100 Ice Agents to that courthouse and have them outside and inside and see what the judge says then.
Let the judge order the arrest of federal officers.

I would think he is about to learn about the supremacy clause.

So that means ICE agents are protected if they are arresting illegal immigrants which is their official duty, right?

Is there a statute he relies on for his ruling, or is it just a feeling he has?
I admit, i did not realize how patheticly stupid and/or partisan so many federal judges are.
