This is Canada. Advertising to kids, that it's ok to request suicide when life hands you a raw deal.

Well, Canada has the MAID program which does in fact facilitate assisted suicide.

Pretty sure assisted suicide is only available in Canada if you’re over 18. And even if it weren’t, any semi-functional adult should be able to pretty easily conclude that this is fake as frick
So why push this out? The only reasonable argument I can come up with is that watching it will make people hate each other. It’s pretty fricked up

Medicine in the UK: next available appointment is in 27 months
Medicine in the US: that’ll be $327,083.76
Medicine in Canada: kill yourself

I have no problem with that. If I were old, terminally ill, and in excruciating pain, I can't say with absolute certainty that I wouldn't chose this.

Canada is trying to lower the age limit for assisted suicide.

I laughed at this harder than I should.

This is weird. It’s tied to Ascension Terminal Wellness, with odd references to Soylent Green.
Ascension is an assisted suicide business.
Soylent Green is wafer made from processed human remains from the movie of the same name (the movie, the earth is overpopulated).
I think if any part of this is fake, it’s the Soylent Green references.

Rick & Morty had this crazy episode last season where the premise was that the family was really enjoying the regular spaghetti night when Rick would cook. It turned out that the recipe was that this one weird race of aliens whose insides would turn into delicious spaghetti if they committed suicide (but not if they died any other way).
This fact, of course, makes the family disgusted with themselves so Morty travels to that planet to try and absolve himself of his guilt. Along the way, they end up accidentally revealing this fact to the president of the planet. Sensing opportunity, the government then allows people to engage in voluntary assisted suicide so that they can become spaghetti for others to enjoy. However, no one anticipated just how big the galactic demand for spaghetti would become, so the planet’s government started doing whatever it could to depress its own citizens and convince them to kill themselves and be made into spaghetti to keep making the government rich.
This is actually a parallel to what is currently happening in Canada. End of life medical care (the final 2 weeks of life) is responsible for 80% of all medical expenses. Providing medical care is the biggest single expense of all modern developed National governments, even larger than the American defense budget. Someone killing themselves rather than going through those final 2 weeks saves the government 80% of its projected cost. Canada realized that their healthcare system is insolvent without major rationing, but they can cut costs massively if people simply choose to end their own lives prior to those final two weeks of life.
Canada is now actively promoting suicide of its people to save money on healthcare. They need that sweet sweet spaghetti revenue. This link is a joke, but it’s based in something Canada is actually doing, which is why it’s funny. It’s a serious meme in Canadian circles because of how prevalent it’s become over the last 5 years.

Or it’s all fake, and the Soylent Green reference at the end is a very clear and intentional wink to the audience of that reality
At least that’s my hope

It's probably fake...at least for now.
You see, in 2024, people can't be blamed for viewing parody/comedy/fake news and thinking it might be legit news.
The Left have gone so fking, batshite, evil and insane that what was once an OBVIOUS fake is just a future-truth.

What if you had no terminal diagnosis and had a mental health diagnosis?
Should the state be allowed to promote suicide as an option to people with mental health diagnoses?
