I think every religion is pretty stupid so I react accordingly. But I don't just assume someone's going to try and kill me because they're a Muslim and I do think that line of thinking leads to tragedies like this one. Equating being a Muslim to Hitler is a pretty backwards way of thinking.

There's plenty of peaceful Doctrine in the Muslim religion so if you're going to be forgiving of the Old Testament for Christians then you should apply that equally.

I do believe you could make the argument that followers of Islam are at war over their ideology in most parts of the world, at present time.
Unless it's just a coincidence that they currently participate in around 90% of the world's current active violent conflicts....

I think you're mostly arguing semantics. 99% of Muslims seem to follow it very peacefully and have a different interpretation of Muhammad's teachings than jihadists do.
