The biggest issue for me however is how do you explain the contours of his nipples on his t-shirt? Did the vest just not go that wide?

This. The bullet went through his neck right? Its doubtful you get a through and through on a major fragmentation ricochet like that.
Why are you guys so obsessed with this?
Its just as likely the kid missed a little high or low as it is he aimed for the neck.
Its also VERY doubtful he has on steal armor if he is wearing any armor at all.
Lastly, there is very obvious pictures of his nipples poking through his shirt. That of and in itself is, case closed.

CK is a big guy. 6’5 and probably pushing 220 lbs. His nipples and outer chest could easily protrude from that chest plate that’s made to fit a smaller person.

yeah he would have died without the armor as well, maybe not as quickly but would not have survived

First, no you don't clearly see a hole.
2ndly, if you had ever shot a gun before you would know something like a 180 grain 30-06 bullet hitting something like a steal plate basically explodes a vast majority of the time.
This impact and following explosion would have caused a major hole in his shirt, likely the size of a first or baseball with all the pieces of the bullet.
A ricochet keeping the bullet from fragmenting only happens when there is a fairly extremely angle. This shot was damn near perpindicular. Even if a major portion of the bullet stays together there would still be significant fragmentation at that angle.

I was trying to point this out in the other thread but the resident know it alls were convinced he had no armor on and were deriding anyone that brought up the possibility. No one should comment one way or the other until they at least watch this vid.

The best fragmented into his neck. So in a literal sense. That is what killed him.
But yes. Being shot with a 30-06 is technically why he was killed.

The title of your thread implies that if he wasn’t wearing vest he might have survived.
