That’s a terrific indicator of the confidence the business community has in the direction of the economy. Thanks for pointing it out!

i'm certainly willing to explain what i said, and it would only take a sentence or two.

i want you to say in unambiguous terms that i am either right or wrong, and tell me if I'm remembering right about what you said about teaching macro

To be "pocketing windfalls" would mean they are selling their stock.

That would be income in 2017 and taxed at the higher rates.

That would be stupid.

What happened to the OP?

Did he die?

He hasn't been back to the thread.

Did the CEO's put out a hit on him?

So the shareholders made a bunch and now there are a bunch of treasury shares? I didn't take you for a trump supporter.

I wonder why someone wouldn't want to stick around a thread where everyone is berating him. Jeez.

$70B in cash buybacks but these companies will turn around and tell you that the current tax code is crippling. A+ lobbying there, credit where due

Yeah, there's absolutely no way someone would make a thread to flame the board.

No. Way. Eva.

ok. maybe you taught macro in like the 70's or something to not know what im talking about on phone so following post will explain as succinctly as i can why that kind of short term profit taking diminishes the supply side impact in favor of the demand side
